Development of the preliminary proposal
Ses Fontanelles, l’aventura d’un vaixell romà
Mallorca, Balearic Islands.
Execution dates 2023 – 2024
Design and conceptualization of the preliminary project: “Ses Fontanelles, the adventure of a Roman ship” exhibition, at La Misericordia building in Palma (Mallorca).
The main objective of this project is to disseminate in an innovative way the discovery of the Roman ship found in 2019 on the beach of Can Pastilla, and to transmit the knowledge generated by the multidisciplinary research carried out by the universities of the Balearic Islands, Cádiz, Barcelona and the Island Council of Mallorca.
The proposal transforms the exhibition space of the “white cube” into a scenographic and immersive experience through the use of architectural resources, lighting and exhibition furniture. In addition, it combines different types of museographic resources —static, scenographic, dynamic, sound and visual—, creating an installation that stimulates and entertains the visitors.
