Development of the management plan for the Talayotic Menorca candidacy as a UNESCO world heritage site, which establishes the principles of the organization and management of the different areas of the archaeological heritage: protect, research, conserve and disseminate, always with the aim of guaranteeing exceptional universal value, authenticity and integrity of this heritage.
The plan includes a diagnosis of the heritage that is part of the candidacy, evaluating the significance, values, state of research, conservation, risks, capacity of communication and involvement with the community. The diagnosis has been the basis for establishing the project’s objectives and the action plan, in which the action programs are defined to ensure the development of the policies of protection, conservation, research, dissemination, management, socialization and community participation in the framework of the archaeological heritage of Menorca’s prehistory.
On September 18, 2023, Talayotic Menorca was recognized as a UNESCO world heritage site.
