Kultura, ideas and strategies for heritageis a team of professionals dedicated to advise and elaborate projects that aim to enhance cultural heritage, as well as the conceptualization and desing of museums, exhibitions, interpretations centers, dynamization and dissemination programs, among others.
Our expertise also includes the development of strategic plans, economic feasibility studies and the definition of organizational and management structures for cultural facilities or projects, as well as the sustainable dynamization of territories with potential in tourism.
Therefore, Kultura is a dynamic and solid organization that works at national and international level, with a qualified net of professional partners and, at the same time, maintains an ethic and a deep commitment towards each project we undertake.

Team

Antoni Nicolau
DIRECTOR
Graduate in Philosophy and Letters, specialty History, postgraduate degree in management of Artistic and Cultural Institutions and in Information and Documentation Systems. He was Director of the History Museum of the City of Barcelona (1993-2007)andPresident of the International Association of City Museums (1993-1996).
He was also a member of the European Committee of History Museums, Secretary General of ICMAH-ICOM (International Committee of Museums of Archeology and History) (1998-2006) and General Director of Cultural and Scientific Relations of the Spanish Agency for International Cooperation for the Development of the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation.
He is the founder of the company Kultura. Ideas and strategies for Heritage, dedicated since 2003 to the enhancement of cultural heritage.

Teresa Marot
PROJECT MANAGER
Phd in Geography and History, with a specialty in Prehistory, Ancient History and Archaeology of the University of Barcelona. As a researcher she has participated in excavations, being a professor, and published in specialized journals. She worked, first as an intern and then as a conservator in the Numismatic Cabinet of Catalonia of the National Museum of Art of Catalonia (1986-2000).
In the 2000s she embarked on an independent career in the field of museology and museography. She worked as coordinator in the project of the Museum of Wine Culture – Dinastía Vivanco (Briones, La Rioja). And shortly after, she joined Kultura’s team, where she has developed diverse projects that aimed at enhancing heritage. Among them, Teresa was one of the creators of the management plan for the presentation of the candidacy ofTalayotic Menorca in the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites (2023).

Silvia Perez Nicolau
ADMINISTRATION AND HUMAN RESOURCES
Technician in tourism activities, with an extensive professional career in several companies where he has carried out administrative tasks in the area of human resources, customer service and support in various departments.
With more than 10 years of experience in the cultural sector, She is specialized in technical management related to Public grants, open calls and public tendersat national and European level.

Irene Franco Páez
RESEARCH AND PREPARATION OF TERRITORIAL AND TOURIST STRATEGY PLANS
PhD in the Society and Culture Doctorate Program at the University of Barcelona, she researches community management of cultural heritage. Art History graduate with a Master’s Degree in Cultural Heritage Management and Museology from the University of Barcelona and a postgraduate degree in Territorial Dynamism from the University of Florence within the framework of the Sus-Ter Cooperation Project.
She has completed a doctoral stay at the OCIM, at the University of Borgonya. She has been trained in new technologies applied to heritage. And she has collaborated in the Giravolt project of the Catalan Heritage Agency with the scanning of archaeological collections at the Museu d’Arqueologia de Catalunya.

Claudia P. Machuca Santibáñez
PROJECT COORDINATION
Visual artist specialized in Painting at the University of CHile and Photography at the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile, with a master degree in Museology and Education at the University of Santiago de Xile, followed by a Master’s Degree in Cultural Heritage Management and Museology at the University of Barcelona, in which obtained the Extraordinary Master’s Prizeof her generation.
She has more than 15 years of experience in project coordination, production and exhibition management in art and cultural facilities in Chile and Europe. She specializes in visual arts, arts & science, interdisciplinary research, artistic residencies and museums.

Alba Ruiz Domingo
INVESTIGATION AND DOCUMENTATION OF HERITAGE COLLECTIONS.
Art historian with a Master’s Degree in Advanced Studies in Art History and Master’s Degree in Cultural Heritage Management and Museology from the University of Barcelona.
She has collaborated with several museums, among which is the Museum of Modernisme, the Frederic Marès Museum and the Barcelona History Museum, where she has carried out cataloging and documentation tasks for a and collections. She also received a grant from the Generalitat of Catalonia to carry out the cataloging and systematization of movable goods’ inventory of Catalan heritage.
